Peregrine Falcon Q&A
Our guest speaker at the May club meeting, Game Officer Kreider, spoke to the group about several game-related topics in the Lehigh Valley. For those that attended the meeting, you may recall that Officer Kreider spoke about a recent effort to tag peregrine falcons nesting under the Tilghman St. bridge with the guidance of peregrine falcon expert Art McMorris. A recent interview with Mr. McMorris was published in the Morning Call. Here is a link to that article. http://www.mcall.com/news/local/mc-art-mcmorris-newsmaker-20150530-story.html
DEEP SEA FSHING _ STRIPER TRIP
Well, our May 16th Striper trip was perhaps not our most successful trip to date but, as the old saying goes “a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work”. Despite some rain and cooler weather in the morning, we still managed to get 16 or so blue fish on the boat along with a few skates and striper that was too small to take home. The seas were flat and calm and the crew of the Mi Jo were great hosts as usual. They tried their best to get us the striped bass that we were after but, it was not to be. The fleet of boats around us faired no better. That’s fishing. Our next trip is on September 19th for Fluke. More details to come but, see Bill Breiner or Chris Hutter to reserve your seat.
